Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 2/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A front will move across western parts of the State today, southeastern parts in the evening and the northeast during Tuesday. A weak ridge will then follow, ahead of another cold front moving across the State on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers and thunderstorms over the Northwest Pastoral, Flinders and Mid North district and isolated showers over the southeastern districts. Showers and thunderstorms tending scattered in the far northwest during the evening. Fine elsewhere. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, ahead of a milder, moderate to fresh west to southwesterly change in the west, reaching central and southeastern districts in the evening.Tuesday 3 AprilIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms about the far northwest. Possible isolated showers developing about southeastern coasts Fine elsewhere apart from possible isolated early morning fog patches. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the far northeast with moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds extending throughout.Wednesday 4 AprilIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the northwest interior. Fine elsewhere apart from possible early morning fog patches over the agricultural area. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 5 AprilIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms in the west. Fine elsewhere apart from possible early morning fog patches in the southeast Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds. Northerly winds freshening in the west and south ahead of a milder westerly change in the far west.Friday 6 AprilIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms extending from the west on Friday to reach about Leigh Creek to Renmark, showers scattered at times about the southern agricultural area. Showers and storms clearing west of about Kingscote to Coober Pedy by late evening. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting milder southwesterly. Cumulative rainfall totals for the period Monday evening until midnight Friday are expected to be generally less than 2 mm, up to 5 mm the North West Pastoral and possible falls up to 10 mm about the southern agricultural area.Saturday until MondayPossible early morning showers north of Coober Pedy on Saturday. Possible isolated showers over the agricultural areas though out the period, more likely in the south on Sunday. Milder conditions with moderate to fresh southerly winds easing during the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
