Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 1/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over Victoria will move to the southeast and weaken tonight. A cold front will reach southwest Victoria late Monday, then weaken as it moves eastwards across Victoria during Tuesday. A high pressure ridge will develop across Victoria on Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the east, contracting eastwards. Isolated thunderstorms about the far eastern ranges, clearing this evening. Generally clear in the north and west. Light to moderate southerly winds.Monday 2 AprilIsolated showers or drizzle patches in the southeast, contracting eastwards and clearing during the afternoon. Isolated showers developing in the southwest later. Local morning fog in the south. An otherwise fine, mild to warm and mostly sunny day with light winds tending moderate northerly, and afternoon seabreezes near the Gippsland coast.Fire Danger -  High in the southwest. Low to moderate elsewhere.Tuesday 3 AprilIsolated showers developing in southern and mountain areas in the morning, then contracting eastward. Fine, warm to hot and mostly sunny in the north. Milder and mostly cloudy in the south. Light to moderate northwest to southwesterly winds and afternoon seabreezes near the coast.Wednesday 4 AprilMorning fog patches in the south. Isolated showers about the eastern ranges in the afternoon. An otherwise fine, warm and mostly sunny day with light southerly winds and afternoon seabreezes near the coast.Thursday 5 AprilMorning fog patches in the south. Drizzle patches near the Gippsland coast. Isolated showers about the eastern ranges during the afternoon and evening .
