Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 31/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure is moving into southern and western parts of the state. This trough is bringing showers and thunderstorms to southwestern districts this morning, which will extend to the southeast in the afternoon. A few showers are expected to linger about the ranges and coastal districts during Monday, with a return to mainly fine conditions on Tuesday as a ridge strengthens.
Forecast for the rest of SundayEarly fogs about the coast and ranges, mostly in the north. Isolated showers across southern and central districts with isolated thunderstorms in the southwest early. Showers with isolated thunderstorms becoming more likely in the southeast during the afternoon. Fine and mostly sunny in the north, apart from an early shower or two about the far north coast. Generally south to southeasterly winds, although tending light and variable about parts of the inland.Monday 2 AprilThe chance of showers east of the Divide, mainly about central parts, clearing from the south later. Fine and mostly sunny in the west. Southeast to northeasterly winds near the coast, with light and variable winds inland.Tuesday 3 AprilThe chance of showers along the northern coast, and about the southern Alpine area. Fine elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds near the coast, and south to southwesterly winds elsewhere.Wednesday 4 AprilThe chance of showers near the coast, mainly in the north, otherwise fine. Generally southeast to northeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Sunday.Product IDN10031
