Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 27/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure over southern Australia will dominate the weather for the rest of the week. A weak, slow moving trough will move over coastal waters on Wednesday. A second trough is expected to move across the State late Friday and on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIncreasing cloud and the chance of isolated showers south of about Cleve to Loxton. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and afternoon sea breezes.Wednesday 28 MarchMorning cloud with the chance of isolated light showers in the southeast. The chance of isolated light showers developing about the West Coast. Fine otherwise. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, fresh at times about the coasts during the afternoon. Winds tending southerly in the far west during the afternoon.Thursday 29 MarchHigh cloud at times moving over agricultural areas and southern Pastoral districts. The chance of isolated light morning showers about the West Coast. The chance of isolated showers developing east of the ranges during the afternoon. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds turning north to northwesterly and freshening ahead of a milder southerly change in the west.Friday 30 March
Fine. Warm to hot with northeast to northwesterly winds ahead of a milder southwesterly change moving over the west of the state during in the afternoon and evening.
Saturday 31 MarchThe chance of isolated showers extending over the agricultural area. Warm to hot with moderate northerly winds, ahead of a milder moderate to fresh southwest to southerly change extending throughout, apart from the Northeast Pastoral. Cumulative rainfall totals for the period Tuesday afternoon until midnight Saturday are expected to be quite patchy and up to 3 mm.Sunday until TuesdayThe chance of isolated showers about coastal areas on Sunday. Otherwise fine apart from possible patchy rain developing in the west of the state late in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
