MELBOURNE - Mar 26/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over southern Victoria will move to the Tasman Sea today. A weak trough of low pressure will cross Victoria on Wednesday and Thursday. The next high pressure system will pass to the south of Tasmania on Thursday. A low pressure trough will approach western Victorian late on Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayEarly morning fog patches in the southwest. Isolated clearing showers near the central coast. Isolated showers possible in the northwest during the afternoon and evening. Isolated showers in the far east, mainly during the afternoon. A mild and mostly cloudy day with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Fire Danger - Low to moderate.Wednesday 28 MarchScattered showers developing over the east, but fine elsewhere. A generally mild and partly cloudy day with light winds.Thursday 29 MarchIsolated showers possible over the south and east, but dry over the northern plains. Mild to warm with light to moderate northwest to southwesterly winds.Friday 30 MarchFine apart from isolated showers developing in the east.
