Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 26/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge dominates most of New South Wales with a weak inland trough generating light showers chiefly along the northern half of the coast. Over the course of the next few days, the ridge will gradually weaken as an associated high in the southern Tasman Sea contracts east toward New Zealand. The trough inland will slightly deepen with showers increasing in the southeastern and central parts by the middle of the week. Another trough lingering off the North Coast will enhance showers persisting in the far northeast.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers about the coast, more frequent in the east, and over the northeastern inland. Fine remainder. East to southeast winds, tending northerly in the southeast.Tuesday 27 MarchFine in the far west of the state and over parts of northern inland. Isolated showers developing over the remainder, more likely in the northeast and southeast. Northeast to southeast winds.Wednesday 28 MarchFine in the far west and the northern inland. Isolated showers remainder, more widespread on the northern coast and the southern ranges and slopes. Northeast to southeast winds.Thursday 29 MarchFine in the west. Isolated showers in the east, more widespread over the coast and adjacent ranges and tending scattered over the Alps. Southeast to northeast winds.Friday 30 MarchIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, more likely near the coast. Fine remainder.
