Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 26/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure over southern Australia will dominate the weather for the week ahead. A weak, slow moving trough will move over coastal waters on Wednesday. A second trough is expected to move across the State late Friday and on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine. Mild with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and late afternoon sea breezes.Tuesday 27 MarchIncreasing cloud and the chance of isolated showers developing southwest of about Wudinna to Adelaide to Mount Gambier by the end of the day. Fine elsewhere apart from some patchy early morning fog over the southeast. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and afternoon sea breezes.Wednesday 28 MarchMorning cloud with the chance of isolated showers south of about Streaky Bay, Whyalla and Renmark. A fine and mild to warm afternoon with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, fresh at times about the coasts. Winds tending southerly in the far west during the afternoon.Thursday 29 MarchFine. High cloud at times moving over agricultural areas and southern Pastoral districts. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds turning north to northwesterly and freshening ahead of a milder southerly change.Friday 30 March
Fine apart from isolated late showers developing about western coasts of Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Warm to hot with northeast to northwesterly winds ahead of a milder southwesterly change moving over the far west in the afternoon and evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals for the period Monday afternoon until midnight Friday are expected to be quite patchy and up to 3 mm.
Saturday until MondayIsolated showers extending over agricultural areas on Saturday, then contracting to coastal areas by next week. Some patchy rain may develop in the northwest of the State late in the period. Cool to mild and moderate southwesterly winds extending throughout South Australia during the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Tuesday.Product IDS10033
