Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 25/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight is directing cool and dry southwest to southeasterly winds over much of the state. This high is expected to move eastwards over the next couple of days, with southwesterly winds turning northeast to southeasterly. As the winds turn easterly, moisture levels in eastern NSW will start to creep up and isolated light shower activity, currently occurring along the coast, is expected to extend into the northeastern inland. Some patchy mid level cloud is expected to start streaming in to the west of the state on Tuesday, then progress eastward on Wednesday and Thursday and may also produce some light showers.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers about the central and northern coast, and during the afternoon over the northeastern inland. Fine remainder. East to southeast winds, tending northerly in the southeast.Tuesday 27 MarchFine in the northwest of the state. Isolated showers developing over the remainder. Northeast to southeast winds.Wednesday 28 MarchFine in the southwest and the northern inland. Isolated showers remainder, more widespread on the northern coast and the southern ranges and slopes. Northeast to southeast winds.Thursday 29 MarchIsolated showers in the east, more widespread over central parts of the coast and adjacent ranges.
