MELBOURNE - Mar 23/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system lies to the south of WA, with a cold front and low pressure system moving over the Tasman Sea. These systems are producing dry, cooler southwesterly winds over NSW. Over the weekend the high will move slowly east and extend a ridge over most of the state though on Sunday a southeast airstream will develop over the northern coast. Early next week the high will move into the Tasman Sea and direct a light east to northeast airflow over NSW with a few showers developing about eastern districts. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers about the far southern ranges and near the Victorian border over the southern inland. Isolated early showers on the far north coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwesterly winds, fresh about the southeast, easing.Sunday 25 MarchIsolated showers about the central and northern coast, fine and sunny elsewhere. Southerly winds.Monday 26 MarchIsolated showers in the northeast, fine remainder. East to southeast winds, tending northerly in the southeast.Tuesday 27 MarchIsolated showers in the northeast, fine remainder.
