Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 23/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front over the Tasman Sea will move further east as a high to the southwest of Western Australia extends a weak ridge across the Bight. The high is expected to move across waters south of the Bight during Saturday and Sunday, reaching the Tasman Sea by Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayScattered showers about the Lower South East, becoming isolated by evening. Isolated showers over the remainder of the agricultural area, the West Coast and far south of the pastoral districts. Fine elsewhere. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the far northeast. Fresh southwest to southerly winds, strong about the Lower South East coast.Saturday 24 MarchIsolated showers about the agricultural area and West Coast district. Fine elsewhere. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.Sunday 25 MarchIsolated light showers about the coasts and southern parts of the Mount Lofty Ranges. Fine elsewhere apart from isolated morning fog patches. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north with generally moderate southwest to southeast winds.Monday 26 MarchFine apart from possible morning fog patches over the South East. Mild to warm with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Tuesday 27 MarchIncreasing cloud and possible showers developing over parts of the West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island, Fine elsewhere. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals for the period Friday afternoon until midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm about southern coasts and ranges and over the southeast with less than 2 mm over remaining parts of the Agricultural Area and West Coast.Wednesday until FridayCloudy with possible showers south of about Ceduna to Adelaide, clearing from Thursday. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, fresh at times about the coasts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
