MELBOURNE - Mar 19/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system is moving very slowly east across the southern Tasman Sea maintaining a ridge to New South Wales north coast. A trough in the western Tasman Sea will approach the North Coast today and weaken on Tuesday. During Wednesday a low pressure trough will move through the west and southeast of the state before reaching northeast on Thursday and becoming slow moving. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over the coast and adjacent ranges tending scattered on the northern half of the coast with the chance of thunderstorms. Mostly sunny west of Divide. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 20 MarchMostly sunny west of Divide and partly cloudy on the far south coast. Isolated showers elsewhere tending scattered near the north coast. Southeast to northeast winds.Wednesday 21 MarchIsolated showers in the southeast and on the north coast. Partly cloudy remainder. Northwest to northeast winds turning south to southwesterly in the west and southeast.Thursday 22 MarchIsolated showers coast and adjacent ranges possibly extending to the northern and central slopes.
