MELBOURNE - Mar 17/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning summary
Tropical Cyclone WARNING is current for inland parts of the east Pilbara, the
eastern Gascoyne, and the far northern Goldfields.
Wind Warning for coastal waters Northern Territory Border to Karratha.
Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters from Albany to Israelite Bay.
Flood Warning for the Pilbara coastal rivers, Upper Fortescue River Catchment,
De Grey River Catchment, North Kimberley Coastal River Catchments, West
Kimberley Region and Fitzroy River Catchment.
Flood Watch for the Ashburton River Catchment and Gascoyne River Catchment.
Fire Weather Warning for the Central West district, and for the northern Central
Wheat Belt for Saturday.
Severe Weather Warning issued for the Goldfields for Sunday.

Southeast Kimberley and northeast Interior: Scattered showers and thunderstorms.
West Kimberley, central and east Pilbara, east Gascoyne and western Interior:
Fresh to strong and gusty winds, reaching gale force, with very destructive
gusts in the vicinity of Severe Tropical Cyclone Lua. Widespread rain with
scattered squally thunderstorms and heavy falls likely.
Remaining areas of the Pilbara, Kimberley, Interior and Gascoyne away from the
west coast and northern Goldfields: Areas of rain. Moderate to heavy falls
possible.

Northwest Kimberley: Rain and isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Southeast Pilbara, central and east Gascoyne, west Interior, Goldfields, north
and east Central Wheat Belt and western Eucla, extending into the eastern
Central West, throughout the Wheat Belt and into the eastern Great Southern and
Southeast Coastal district in the afternoon and evening: Rain with moderate to
heavy falls and possible flooding. Fresh to strong and gusty winds, reaching
gale force with possible damaging gusts in vicinity of Tropical Cyclone Lua.
Remaining areas of the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior and Eucla: Isolated
showers and thunderstorms.
