Australia -- Western Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 16/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning summary
Tropical Cyclone WARNING current for coastal areas from Cape Leveque to Dampier,
as well as adjacent inland parts of the eastern Pilbara, and the far western
Kimberley.
Tropical Cyclone WATCH current for central and eastern inland Pilbara, the far
western inland Kimberley, the eastern Gascoyne and the far western Interior.
Wind Warnings for coastal waters from the NT Border to Onslow.
Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters from Albany to Israelite Bay for
Saturday.
Flood Warning for the north and west Kimberley, Ord River catchment, De Grey
river catchment, Pilbara coastal rivers, and the Fortescue River catchment.
Fire Weather Warning for the Central West district, and for the northern Central
Wheat Belt.
Forecast for Friday    evening
Kimberley, the adjacent NE Pilbara and far northern Interior: Rain areas with
scattered squally showers and thunderstorms. Windy near coastal parts. Moderate
to heavy falls likely.
Remaining Pilbara: Windy with isolated squally showers and thunderstorms,
tending scattered in the east.
Remaining northern Interior and the eastern Gascoyne: Isolated showers and
thunderstorms.
Forecast for Saturday
Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, NW Interior, far NE Gascoyne: Strong to gale force
winds, with very destructive gusts possible in the eastern Pilbara. Rain areas
with scattered showers and squally thunderstorms. Heavy falls likely.
Remaining Pilbara, remaining NE Gascoyne, central and northern Interior, and the
far northern Goldfields: Isolated showers and thunderstorms, increasing to
scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Moderate to heavy falls
possible.
Remaining northern Goldfields, southern Interior, and central Gascoyne: Isolated
showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
