MELBOURNE - Mar 12/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak low pressure trough over central New South Wales will weaken further today and as a high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea strengthens a ridge across the state. During Friday and Saturday another trough will move through the state as the high moves east and the ridge weakens. Another high is expected to move south of the Bight on Saturday extending a ridge behind the trough. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPartly cloudy on the south and central coasts and in the far west. Isolated showers elsewhere with possible thunderstorms west of Divide. North to northeasterly winds, freshening on the south coast.Wednesday 14 MarchIsolated showers on the north coast and ranges and in the southeast. Possible thunderstorms in the southeastern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northeasterly winds.Thursday 15 MarchIsolated showers on the south coast and in the south. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds, turning southwesterly in the far west.Friday 16 MarchIsolated showers throughout.
