MELBOURNE - Mar 11/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system south of Adelaide will pass just south of Victoria during Monday and will be centred over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday as the next low pressure trough crosses the Bight. The low pressure trough will deepen and approach Victoria during Wednesday before entering the far west of the State later on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of MondayFine after local morning inland fogs. Mild to warm and becoming mostly sunny with light winds and fresh afternoon coastal seabreezes.Fire Danger - Generally low to moderate.Tuesday 13 MarchLocal morning fog in Gippsland, then a fine and mostly sunny day. A warm day with moderate to locally fresh northerly winds and afternoon seabreezes along the Gippsland coast.Wednesday 14 MarchFine at first. Isolated showers and thunderstorms developing over the eastern ranges during the afternoon. Isolated showers developing in the southwest later. A warm day with a freshening northerly wind.Thursday 15 MarchRain and isolated thunderstorms developing in most districts but easing to isolated showers in the west later. Mostly fine in East Gippsland with isolated showers and thunderstorms later.
