Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 11/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak low pressure trough near the southern New South Wales coast is weakening today as a high strengthens over the Tasman Sea. This high will be the dominant synoptic feature during the next few days as it moves slowly east, maintaining a relatively dry and stable air mass over the region. The next trough is expected to approach the state's west late in the week, bringing a little rain with it.
Forecast for the rest of MondayThe chance of showers near the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine elsewhere, with some high cloud. Southeast to northeasterly winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland.Tuesday 13 MarchThe chance of showers about the northern coast, extending to the remainder of the coast, ranges and slopes during the afternoon. Fine elsewhere. Mainly north to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 14 MarchIsolated showers in the northeast, southeast and on the central ranges and slopes. Fine elsewhere. North to northeasterly winds.Thursday 15 MarchIsolated showers in the northeast, south and on the central ranges. Fine elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds, turning southwesterly in the far west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDN10031
