Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 11/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high south of Kangaroo Island will move slowly east to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Monday. A low pressure trough will move over the far west late Tuesday evening, then extend eastwards over western parts during Wednesday, with a low forming over waters to the south of the State during the day, which will deepen and move southeastwards on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine with some high cloud. Mild to warm. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and moderate to fresh coastal sea breezes.Monday 12 MarchCool to cold early in the east with early fog patches in the Lower South East. A fine and mostly sunny day. Hot in the north and west but warm elsewhere. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and moderate afternoon coastal sea breezes.Tuesday 13 MarchFine and warm to hot. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds freshening in the west and south during the morning ahead of a fresh southerly change in the far west late evening.Wednesday 14 MarchIsolated showers developing in the west, then extending over the southern agricultural area late afternoon or evening. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northeast to northwest winds ahead of a milder southerly change in the far west early extending east, reaching a line near Adelaide to Whyalla late evening as a southwest to west change.Thursday 15 MarchIsolated showers extending to most districts. Mostly mild to warm with moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds, tending southeast to northeast in the north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon to midnight Tuesday are expected to be nil, and then up to midnight on Thursday falls in the range of 1 to 5 mm are possible, although there is significant uncertainty in this forecast.Friday until SundayPatchy rain over most districts clearing over the agricultural area on Sunday. Mostly mild with moderate to fresh south to southeast winds extending throughout. Significant uncertainty remains for the forecast for Friday through to Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
