MELBOURNE - Mar 9/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge across New South Wales, while a low pressure system over the Tasman Sea moves further east. This high will be the dominant synoptic feature during the next few days as it moves slowly east, maintaining a relatively dry and stable air mass over the region. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayThe chance of light showers about the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southwesterly winds, freshening about the southern coast.Sunday 11 MarchThe chance of light showers near the coast and adjacent ranges, otherwise fine and mostly sunny. Southeast to southwesterly winds, turning northeasterly about parts of the coast in the afternoon.Monday 12 MarchIsolated showers near the coast and adjacent ranges, otherwise fine and partly cloudy. Southeast to northeasterly winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland.Tuesday 13 MarchThe chance of showers about the central and northern coasts, extending to the northeast inland during the afternoon. Fine elsewhere.
