Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 4/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system in the Bight will push a south to southwesterly change over most of NSW today while a low pressure trough in the northeast of the state gradually moves further northeastwards. The high will strengthen further on Tuesday and move eastwards. On Thursday a trough is expected to develop in in the easterlies off the NSW coast, with a low possibly developing off the coast.
Forecast for the rest of MondayRain in the northeast, contracting further northeastwards during the day. Isolated showers developing along the central and southern coasts. Fine elsewhere apart from some morning fogs. South to southwest winds extending throughout, apart from the far northern coast where northeasterly winds will continue.Tuesday 6 MarchRain in the northeast. Isolated showers on the central and southern coast and ranges tending scattered along the coastline and across the southern ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southerly winds.Wednesday 7 MarchScattered coastal showers and isolated showers on the ranges and northern slopes. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, possibly strengthening on the central and southern coast and ranges later in the day.Thursday 8 MarchScattered showers over the central and southern parts of the coast, isolated showers on the ranges and in the northeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to southeasterly winds, possibly fresh to strong on the central and southern coast and ranges later in the day. Northwest to northeast winds may develop on the north coast and ranges.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDN10031
