MELBOURNE - Mar 3/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak low to the southeast of the State is expected to deepen as it moves to a position southeast of Tasmania by this evening. A high to the west of the Bight will gradually move eastwards over the next few days to be centred near Tasmania on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayAreas of rain in the far northeast, becoming patchy in the evening. Isolated showers over the agricultural area and western coasts. Early fog patches over central and eastern districts. Mild to warm throughout with moderate to fresh southeast to southwesterly winds.Monday 5 MarchPatchy rain clearing from the far northeast by late afternoon. Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area. Early fog patches over the northern agricultural area and West Coast district. Fine over the remainder. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 6 MarchFine apart from isolated showers clearing from southern coasts. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh southeast to east winds.Wednesday 7 MarchFine and mild to warm. Mainly moderate southeast to east winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm in the northeast, possibly 10 to 30 mm in the far northeast corner. Less than 2 mm over the agricultural area and the west coast, increasing to 2 to 5 mm in the southeast.Thursday until SaturdayFine and mild to warm.
