U.S. Meat Output Beneath Year Ago
Commercial red meat production for the United States totaled 4.12 billion
pounds in January, up 2 percent from the 4.04 billion pounds produced in
January 2011.
Beef production, at 2.11 billion pounds, was slightly below the previous
