Weather Situation A high over the Tasman Sea will remain near stationary for the next few days. A trough of low pressure will reach the western border late today, and then move slowly northeastwards, reaching Fowlers Bay late Saturday evening, a line Port Lincoln to Tarcoola late Sunday evening and a line Yunta to Marla late Monday evening. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers and the chance of isolated thunderstorms developing over the far northeast interior. Fine elsewhere. Hot with moderate to fresh north to northeast winds and light to moderate afternoon coastal sea breezes.Saturday 25 FebruaryIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms north and east of about Oodnadatta to Woomera to Broken Hill, tending scattered northeast of Leigh Creek in the afternoon. Isolated thundery showers developing about the western border later in the day. Hot with moderate to fresh north to northeast winds ahead of a moderate southerly change moving over the far southwest.Sunday 26 FebruaryIsolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms northeast of about Oodnadatta to Port Augusta to Yunta, tending scattered northeast of Marree in the afternoon. Isolated thundery showers extending across the west of the State with the chance of isolated late showers developing elsewhere. Hot with moderate northerly winds, fresh at times, ahead of a moderate to fresh southerly change reaching a line Port Lincoln to Tarcoola late evening.Monday 27 February Isolated showers and thunderstorms northeast of Broken Hill to Oodnadatta and isolated showers over the Nullarbor Plain. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere, easing to isolated showers over the southern agricultural area later in the day. Hot with moderate northerly winds in the east, ahead of a milder moderate to fresh southerly change, reaching a line Yunta to Marla late evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday afternoon until midnight Monday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm, with local falls of 15 to 35 mm with thunderstorms over the Pastoral districts. Tuesday until Thursday Areas of rain and isolated thunderstorms over the Pastoral and Flinders districts, with local heavy falls. Patchy rain over the northern agricultural area and West Coast district. Possible isolated showers developing about the coasts on Thursday.
