Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 19/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough over inland parts will move over the northeast interior during Monday. A high south of WA will move east to be centered south of the Bight on Monday, then move slowly eastwards.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over the agricultural and south of the pastoral districts. Possible thunderstorms over the northern agricultural area and southern pastorals. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms north of about Marree to Coober Pedy. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong over the Northwest Pastoral during the afternoon and evening with areas of raised dust. Moderate northerly winds in the northeast. Moderate to fresh afternoon sea breezes.Monday 20 FebruaryPossible isolated showers about the southern agricultural area and western coasts. Isolated showers north of about Renmark to Pt Augusta contracting northwards during the day. Possible isolated thunderstorms north of Coober Pedy to Leigh Creek. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds becoming fresh to strong over the Northwest Pastoral during the afternoon and evening, with areas of raised dust. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot to very hot in the far north.Tuesday 21 FebruaryPossible light morning showers about southern and western coasts. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms north of Coober Pedy. Mild about the coasts, grading to hot inland. Moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 22 FebruaryIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms developing over the Northeast Pastoral district north of Leigh Creek. Mild to warm in the south, hot inland. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Wednesday are expected to be generally up to 2 mm with possible local falls of 2-10 mm with thunderstorms.Thursday 23 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms over the Northeast Pastoral .Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Wednesday are expected to be generally up to 2 mm with possible local falls of 2-10 mm with thunderstorms increasing to 10 to 20 mm in the far northeast.Friday until SundayAn in feed of moisture from the east will result in showers over the Northeast Pastoral, extending south and west during the period to be throughout during Sunday. Possible thunderstorms over the Northeast Pastoral district on Thursday. Becoming to hot to very hot throughout with moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds ahead of a southerly change in the west on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
