Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 15/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure will remain near stationary over the Northeast Pastoral district for the next few days. A weak high south of the Bight will gradually move southeastwards towards Tasmania by Saturday evening.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayThe chance of morning drizzle over the southern agricultural area and near Spencer Gulf coasts. Possible afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the Riverland and eastern parts of the Northeast Pastoral district. Mild near the coasts grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds, tending light and variable in the far north.Friday 17 FebruaryFine apart from isolated light morning showers about the Lower South East Coast. Mild to warm over the agricultural area, grading to hot to very hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, becoming fresh southeast to southerly near the coasts in the afternoon and evening.Saturday 18 FebruaryFine. Mild to warm about southern coasts, grading to very hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh at times near the coast in the afternoon, tending southeast to northeast in the north.Sunday 19 February
Patchy rain south of about Victor Harbor to Lameroo. Mild about southern coasts grading to very hot in the north. Light to moderate southerly winds, freshening in the afternoon, tending moderate northerly in the far north.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday morning until midnight Sunday are expected to be up to 2 mm.
Monday until WednesdayIsolated light showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts on Tuesday and clearing. Fine elsewhere.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
