Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 14/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure near Ceduna will move over Eyre Peninsula overnight, across central districts Wednesday morning and into the Northeast Pastoral from late Wednesday afternoon. The trough will then remain near stationary over the Northeast Pastoral for the next few days. A weak high will develop south of the Bight Wednesday evening and remain near stationary for the next few days.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers and thunderstorms over the West Coast district and the far southwest of the Northwest Pastoral, extending over Eyre Peninsula. Warm near southern coasts, hot over the remainder. Moderate northeast to northwest winds and coastal sea breezes, ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest to southerly change extending over the west of Eyre Peninsula this evening.Wednesday 15 FebruaryIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area and the far south of the pastoral districts. Chance of isolated morning thunderstorms over the West Coast, far southwest of the Northwest Pastoral and Eyre Peninsula. Mild near western coasts, warm to hot over the remainder, grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, ahead of a moderate to fresh southwest change extending to a line near Adelaide to Whyalla around midday and Yunta to Oodnadatta late evening.Thursday 16 FebruaryIsolated light morning showers over the southern agricultural area and near Spencer Gulf coasts. Mild near the coasts grading to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.Friday 17 FebruaryFine apart from isolated light morning showers about the Lower South East Coast. Mild to warm over the agricultural area grading to hot to very hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, becoming fresh southeast to southerly near the coasts in the afternoon and evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning until midnight Friday are expected to be less than 2 mm.Saturday 18 February
Fine. Mild to warm about southern coasts, grading to very hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, fresh at times near the coast in the afternoon, tending southeast to northeast in the north.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon until midnight Saturday are expected to be up to 2 mm.
