MELBOURNE - Feb 12/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A broad low pressure trough lies across eastern New South Wales. During Monday and Tuesday the trough will move to the west and weaken as a high pressure system moves over the southern Tasman Sea extending a ridge to the north coast. The trough is expected to redevelop over the west of the state during Wednesday and Thursday then to deepen on Friday and Saturday and move to the northeast. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the east, tending scattered on the south and north coasts and adjacent east ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds near the coast, south to southwest winds in the west. Light and variable winds elsewhere.Monday 13 FebruaryScatted showers and isolated thunderstorms in the east. Showers tending isolated on the western slopes. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest winds west of the ranges, southeast winds along the coast.Tuesday 14 FebruaryIsolated showers coast and ranges tending scattered on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast winds.Wednesday 15 FebruaryIsolated showers in the northeast and on the southern half of the coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
