MELBOURNE - Feb 11/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A broad low pressure trough lies across inland New South Wales. During Monday and Tuesday the trough will move to the west and weaken as a high pressure system moves over the southern Tasman Sea extending a ridge to the north coast. The trough is expected to redevelop over the west of the state during Wednesday and Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMostly clear in the west. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the east, tending scattered in the northeast and on the south coast. South to southwesterly winds tending southeast to northeast in the east.Sunday 12 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the east, tending scattered on the south and north coasts. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds near the coast, light and variable winds elsewhere.Monday 13 FebruaryScatted showers on the coast and adjacent ranges tending isolated on the western slopes. The chance of thunderstorms on the northern half of the coast and ranges. Mostly sunny in the western and central parts. Southwest winds west of the ranges, southeast winds along the coast.Tuesday 14 FebruaryIsolated showers coast and ranges tending scattered on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast winds.Wednesday 15 FebruaryIsolated showers in the northeast and on the southern half of the coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
