MELBOURNE - Feb 10/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A broad trough dominates NSW with a weak low recently formed off the South Coast. The trough will remain slow moving during the weekend, then weaken on Monday. A ridge will build along the coast by the middle of the next week while another trough deepens west of NSW. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine in the west apart from isolated showers near the Victorian border. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the east, more widespread in the northeast during the afternoon and in the South Coast and Snowy Mountains districts. South to southwesterly in the west. Southeast to northeast winds in the east.Sunday 12 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the east, tending scattered in the far southeast. Fine in the west. Mainly light and variable winds, becoming southeast to northeast along the coast.Monday 13 FebruaryIsolated showers in the east, tending scattered along the coast and ranges in the afternoon with possible thunderstorms. Southwest winds west of the ranges, southeast winds along the coast.Tuesday 14 FebruaryIsolated showers in the east tending scattered on the north coast.
