MELBOURNE - Feb 10/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system centred well south of the Bight will move very slowly eastwards over the next few days ahead of a trough developing over the far west of the State early next week. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over the agricultural area and far south of the Northeast Pastoral contracting to southern coasts by evening. Showers scattered during the morning over Kangaroo Island, southern Yorke and Fleurieu Peninsulas and the east coast of Eyre Peninsula. Cool to mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southeast to southwesterly winds.Sunday 12 FebruaryIsolated showers about southern coasts and ranges, clearing by evening. Cool to mild in the south, warm to hot in the north. Mainly moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Monday 13 FebruaryFine and mostly sunny. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, fresh at times in the west, and fresh afternoon sea breezes.Tuesday 14 FebruaryFine apart from possible isolated light showers developing over the Northwest Pastoral. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, fresh at times in the west ahead of a southwesterly change in the far west, reaching Ceduna late evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning until midnight Tuesday are expected to be up to 2 mm over the agricultural area, increasing to 2-5 mm about the southern coasts and ranges.Wednesday until FridayPossible light showers clearing from the Northwest Pastoral early in the period. Possible isolated showers developing about the Lower South East coast on Thursday, extending to Kangaroo Island on Friday. Temperatures generally rising ahead of a trough in the west slowly moving east to be over the Northeast Pastoral on Friday, milder following the trough.
