Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 10/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough is deepening over eastern NSW as a high pressure ridge extends from the Bight towards the Tasman Sea. The trough will move only slowly eastwards over the next couple of days with a weak low pressure centre developing off the South Coast on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayScattered showers and thunderstorms over the eastern half of the state, locally heavy. Isolated thundery showers in the west but fine in the far southwest. South to southwest winds in the west. East to northeast winds in the east, fresh along the southern coast.Saturday 11 FebruaryFine in the west apart from isolated showers near the Victorian border. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the east, more widespread in the northeast during the afternoon and in the South Coast and Snowy Mountains districts. Possible heavy showers on the far south coast during the morning. South to southwesterly in the west. Southeast to northeast winds in the east.Sunday 12 FebruaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the east, tending scattered in the far southeast. Fine in the west. Mainly light and variable winds, becoming southeast to northeast along the coast.Monday 13 FebruaryIsolated showers in the east, tending scattered along the coast and ranges in the afternoon with possible thunderstorms. Southwest winds west of the ranges, southeast winds along the coast.Tuesday 14 FebruaryIsolated showers in the east tending scattered on the north coast.
