Warning Summary at issue time A strong wind warning is current for waters from Double Island Point to Point Danger, including Moreton Bay. Flood Warnings are current for various rivers and streams. For the latest warning information please check the Bureau's web site www.bom.gov.au/qld Weather Situation A surface trough lies over the state's southeast, and an upper level trough lies over Queensland's interior. Forecast for the rest of Wednesday Isolated showers and thunderstorms over eastern and northern districts of the state, more scattered about the southeast. Fine over the interior. Light to moderate SW to SE winds over most of the state, fresh at times about the southeast coast. Forecast for Thursday Isolated showers and thunderstorms over eastern districts of the state, north of about Gladstone, though only possible showers about the southern tropical coast. Isolated showers through the southeast and southern interior. Fine over the interior. Light to moderate SW to SE winds over most of the state, fresh about the southeast coast. Forecast for Friday A new upper level trough will move into Queensland, causing showers and storms over most of the eastern districts. Mostly fine though about the southeast coast, with some isolated showers expected. Fine over the remainder of the state. Winds easing about the southeast coast. Forecast for Saturday The upper level trough should remain over the state's interior, generating further showers and storms over the eastern districts. Remaining fine over the remainder of the state. Forecast for Sunday Another pulse of instability associated with the upper trough should continue generating showers and storms over the eastern districts, and extending further inland to the central interior. Remaining fine over the remainder of the state. Outlook for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday A weak upper trough should remain over the state's interior, continuing to generate showers and storms over most eastern districts and inland towards the central interior.
