Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 7/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough over eastern New South Wales will deepen and move west during Thursday and Friday as a high pressure system moves south of Bight extending a ridge to the north coast. On Friday another trough is expected to develop off the coast with a low possibly developing near the south coast during Saturday or Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayShowers over the eastern half of the state, tending scattered in the northeast and about the central inland parts during the afternoon. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the northeast. Sunny in the west. South to southeast winds.Thursday 9 FebruaryMostly sunny in the far west. Scattered showers over the remainder, tending isolated in the northeast. The chance of thunderstorms west of the Divide. Southeast to northeast winds in east.Friday 10 FebruaryRain on the south coast and ranges, possibly heavy at times. Scattered showers elsewhere tending isolated in the west. The chance of thunderstorms in the eastern inland. South to northeast winds.Saturday 11 FebruaryMostly sunny in the far west. Scattered showers elsewhere tending widespread in the far southeast but clearing from the west East to northeast winds turning south to southwesterly in the west and southeast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Wednesday.Product IDN10031
