MELBOURNE - Feb 6/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough lies over northeastern New South Wales. The trough will move west during Wednesday and Thursday and deepen as a high pressure system moves south of Bight extending a ridge to the north coast. Broad trough is expected to persist over the eastern and central parts of the state until the next week. Forecast for the rest of TuesdaySunny in the west. Isolated showers in the east, locally scattered in the northeast with isolated afternoon thunderstorms. South to southeast winds.Wednesday 8 FebruaryIsolated showers in the eastern half, tending scattered about the northern ranges. Isolated thunderstorms over the northeastern inland. Sunny in the west. South to southeast winds.Thursday 9 FebruaryMostly sunny in the far west. Isolated showers elsewhere with isolated thunderstorms on the slopes and plains. East to northeast winds in the northeast. Southeast to southwest winds in the southwest.Friday 10 FebruaryMostly sunny in the northwest. Isolated showers over the remainder, tending scattered in the southeastern inland.
