Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 5/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough over northeast New South Wales is linked to a low pressure system south of Tasman, while a second low lies over the central Tasman Sea. The trough is expected to remain over the northeast of the state during the next few days, while a slow-moving high near Western Australia extends a ridge to the east. Later in the week the trough is expected to deepen and move west.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers in the southeast clearing during the morning. The chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over parts of the northeast. Fine and partly cloudy in the west. A southwest to southeast change extending throughout.Tuesday 7 FebruaryIsolated showers in the east, tending scattered on the north coast and on adjacent ranges. Isolated thunderstorms developing over the northeastern inland. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Wednesday 8 FebruaryIsolated showers in the east tending scattered on the coast, ranges and slopes in the north. Isolated thunderstorms over the northeastern inland. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeast winds.Thursday 9 FebruaryFine and partly cloudy in the west. Isolated showers in the east and central parts of the state. Isolated thunderstorms through the central parts of the state. Northeast to southeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDN10031
