Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 5/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is moving through the west and southeast of the state today, and should enter the south coast early Monday morning before moving through to the north during the day and weakening into a trough over the northeast later on Monday. The trough is expected to deepen during the later part of the week and move westwards as another high moves south of the Bight extending a ridge along the coast.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the far southeastern inland and the chance of afternoon showers over the far northeastern inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds ahead of a southwesterly change extending from the west of the state.Monday 6 FebruaryIsolated showers in the east. The chance of thunderstorms over the northeastern inland. Partly cloudy in the west. Variable winds in the northeast ahead of a southwest to southeast change extending throughout.Tuesday 7 FebruaryIsolated showers in the east tending scattered on the north coast and on adjacent ranges. Isolated thunderstorms developing over the northeastern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Wednesday 8 February
Isolated showers in the east tending scattered on the coast, ranges and slopes in the north. Isolated thunderstorms over the northeastern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere.

Thursday 9 FebruaryPartly cloudy in the west. Isolated showers in the east and central parts of the state. Isolated thunderstorms through the central parts of the state extending with the trough south from Queensland.
