MELBOURNE - Feb 3/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A broad low pressure trough extends from northern inland of New South Wales to the south toward a small low off the south coast embedded within the trough. The low and the trough will weaken during Saturday as a high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge to the north coast. During Sunday and early Monday a cold front will move through the state followed by another trough developing over the northeast on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMostly sunny in the northwestern and in the southern inland. Isolated showers elsewhere. Mainly southeast to northeast winds.Sunday 5 FebruaryPartly cloudy in the western and central inland and on the south coast. Isolated showers elsewhere. Northwest to northeast winds, turning southerly in the west later.Monday 6 FebruaryIsolated showers in the east with the chance of thunderstorms over the northeastern inland.
