Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 31/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1027 hPa south of the Bight will move steadily eastwards to be over the southern Tasman Sea Thursday morning. A trough of low pressure will extend across most of the State during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine apart from possible isolated showers about Kangaroo Island later this evening. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds, strong at times about parts of the coast.Wednesday 1 FebruaryFine apart from possible isolated morning showers about southern coasts. Mild to warm in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds.Thursday 2 FebruaryFine and mostly sunny. Mild to warm near southern coasts grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate east to southeast winds and moderate to fresh coastal sea breezes.Friday 3 FebruaryFine and mostly sunny. Mild to warm in the south, hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to southwest winds, fresh about the coasts during the afternoon.Saturday 4 FebruaryIsolated showers developing about the far west during the afternoon then extending to western and southern coastal districts during the evening. Warm to hot with light to moderate northeast to southeast winds becoming northwest to southwest during the morning and freshening in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon until midnight Saturday are expected to 2 to 5mm in the west and less than 2 mm elsewhere.Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers southwest about Port Augusta to Lameroo contracting to the coastal areas by Sunday evening, and to southern coastal areas by Tuesday then clearing by early afternoon. Mild to warm grading to hot in the far north with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
