Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 29/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A front with associated low to the south near southern coasts early this morning will move steadily to the east of the State during this morning. A vigorous southwest to south airstream will follow the front. A high pressure system will form in the wake of the front to the south of Western Australia and will move eastwards to be centred south of the Bight on Tuesday and over the Tasman sea later Wednesday and on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers and thunderstorms over the Pastoral, Flinders and remaining eastern districts, contracting northeastwards to be confined to the far northeast later in the evening. Isolated showers over the agricultural area and West Coast, scattered early morning in the Lower South East, contracting to southern coasts by early afternoon. Becoming cool to mild over the agricultural area, grading to hot in the far north of the State. A fresh and gusty southwest to south change extending throughout. Winds strengthening near the coast, reaching gale force about far southern coasts.Tuesday 31 JanuaryIsolated morning showers near southern and western coasts. Fine elsewhere. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh southeast winds, strengthening about parts of the coast in the afternoon.Wednesday 1 FebruaryFine and mostly sunny. Mild near southern coasts, grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh southeast winds.Thursday 2 February
Fine and mostly sunny. Mild to warm near southern coasts grading to very hot in the north. Light to moderate east to southeast winds and moderate to fresh coastal sea breezes.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm, with isolated falls of 10-20 mm with thunderstorms.
Friday until SundayPossible isolated showers over the agricultural area on Friday and about southern and western coasts on Sunday. A milder, moderate to fresh southwesterly change gradually extending from the west during the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
