Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 28/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure over South Australia will weaken as a front moves over western districts later today. The front will pass over remaining parts of the state by early Monday, followed by a new high developing to the southwest of the Bight on Tuesday, which will move eastwards to be centred near Tasmania by later Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers and thunderstorms, except for areas west of Marla to Ceduna. Showers increasing to scattered over the Pastoral and Flinders districts east of Tarcoola. Warm to hot with light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, ahead of a milder, moderate to fresh southerly change developing in the west.Monday 30 JanuaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms over most parts except the Northwest Pastoral west of Tarcoola, gradually contracting northeastwards to be confined to the far northeast late evening. Isolated showers, however, persisting about southern and western coastal districts. Cool near southern coasts grading to hot in the far north, with fresh and gusty southerly winds extending throughout, strengthening near the coasts.Tuesday 31 JanuaryIsolated light morning showers near southern and western coasts, and also the chance of morning showers in the far northeast. Fine otherwise. Cool to mild near southern coasts, grading to hot in the far north.Wednesday 1 February
Fine. Mild near southern coasts, grading to hot in the far north. Mainly moderate southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm, increasing to 5 to 15 mm with thunderstorms, and further to possibly 20 to 30 mm over the Northeast Pastoral and Flinders districts south and east of about Marree.
Thursday until SaturdayFine and mostly sunny with moderate winds, chiefly southeast to northeast. Mild to warm near southern coasts grading to hot in the north.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
