Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 27/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough extends from southwestern Queensland into northeastern New South Wales and a slow-moving upper level trough lies over the north of the state. The trough will move during today as a high pressure system over the southwestern Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the north coast. The trough will over the northeast of the state again during Sunday and Monday as another cold front passes to the south.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPartly cloudy in the southeastern inland. Rain areas on the far north coast easing. Scattered showers elsewhere. Isolated thunderstorms in the western and northeastern inland. Southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 28 JanuaryRain areas in the west, in the northeastern inland and on the far north coast. Isolated showers on the central coast. The chance of thunderstorms in the far west. Partly cloudy in the southeast. East to northeast winds.Sunday 29 JanuaryPartly cloudy on the southern half of the coast and rages. Rain in the west and in the northeastern inland. Isolated showers elsewhere tending scattered on the far north coast.. The chance of thunderstorms in the far west. East to northeast winds.Monday 30 JanuaryRain in the east contracting northeast. Scattered showers elsewhere clearing from the southwest. Northwest to northeast winds turning west to southwest in the west and southeast.Tuesday 31 JanuaryPartly cloudy in the far west. Rain areas in the northeast. isolated showers elsewhere.
