Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 21/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough lies over inland parts of New South Wales. During Sunday and Monday the trough will move west and weaken as a high pressure system moves over the southwestern Tasman Sea extending a ridge to the north coast. Another trough is expected to develop over the west of the state on Tuesday and become slow moving. An offshore trough is expected to deepen near northern NSW coast by the middle of the next week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPartly cloudy in the far southwest and over parts of inland north. Isolated showers along the coast, chance of showers on the adjacent northern ranges. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere tending scattered in the central inland parts. Southeast to southwest winds.Sunday 22 JanuaryIsolated coastal showers tending scattered in the north. Chance of showers over the far inland north. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the far west. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to southeast winds freshening along the north and central coasts.Monday 23 JanuaryIsolated coastal showers tending scattered in the north. Chance of showers over the far inland north. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the far west. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Tuesday 24 JanuaryPartly cloudy in the southwest.
