MELBOURNE - Jan 13/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning summary
Severe Weather Warning for central and eastern Gascoyne and adjacent Pilbara and
far northern Goldfields, including Meekatharra.
Severe Weather Warning for coastal parts of the Pilbara between Port Hedland and
Pardoo, including Port Hedland.
Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters from Wallal to Port Hedland.
Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters from Cape Leeuwin to Israelite Bay.
Flood Warning current for the Pilbara coastal streams between Port Hedland and
Karratha.
Flood Warning current for the De Grey and Ashburton river catchments.
Forecast for Friday
Eastern and central Gascoyne: Scattered thunderstorms and showers with heavy
falls. Heavy rain, thunderstorms and damaging winds possible near and east of Ex
TC Heidi as it tracks south.
Pilbara: Scattered thunderstorms and showers, heavy falls in inland and eastern
parts. Heavy rain, thunderstorms and damaging winds possible for a period in
coastal parts between Pardoo and Whim Creek.
Kimberley: Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the west, extending isolated
thunderstorms and showers to central parts in the afternoon.
Goldfields, and across central and southern Interior: Areas of rain and isolated
thunderstorms tending to isolated showers in the far south.
Central West, northern Central Wheatbelt, remainder of the Gascoyne and
Interior: Isolated thunderstorms and showers developing this afternoon.
Forecast for Saturday
Southeastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and far western Interior: Scattered
showers and thunderstorms, increasing to heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong
gusts for a period near Ex TC Heidi.
Pilbara: Scattered showers and thunderstorms in western parts, easing near the
coast during the isolated. Isolated thunderstorms and showers developing in the
remainder in the afternoon.
Remainder of the inland Gascoyne, Goldfields and northeast Central Wheatbelt:
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.
Western and northern Kimberley and northern Interior: Isolated thunderstorms and
showers, mainly afternoon.
Remainder of the Gascoyne and Southwest Land Division: Isolated thunderstorms
and showers in the Central Wheatbelt and adjacent parts, developing in the
remainder in the afternoon.
