Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jan 12/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system south of the Bight extends a ridge into northeastern New South Wales. Later on Friday or Saturday, a low pressure trough will deepen over northeastern inland parts of the state. The trough will move westwards during Sunday as the high moves over the southwestern Tasman Sea extending a ridge to the north coast. The frontal system is expected to move through the state during Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayThe chance of showers near the central coast. Mostly clear elsewhere. South to southwest winds, fresh to strong along the coast at first.Friday 13 JanuaryThe chance of showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to southwest winds.Saturday 14 JanuaryIsolated showers and thunderstorms in the northeast. Isolated showers on the south and central coasts and ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to northeast winds in the northeast, and south to southeast winds elsewhere.Sunday 15 JanuaryPartly cloudy in the far west. Isolated showers elsewhere, tending scatted the north coast and ranges. Southeast to northeast winds.Monday 16 JanuaryPartly cloudy in the far west. Isolated showers elsewhere, tending scatted the north coast and ranges but clearing from the southwest.
