Weather Situation A high pressure system remains south of the Bight allowing weak cold fronts to pass over Tasmania on Friday and Saturday. The high will move eastwards on Sunday, reaching the Tasman Sea at night. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers over southern and mountain districts, scattered at first in the far east. Possible early snow about the Alpine peaks. Moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds.Fire Danger - High in the north.Friday 13 JanuaryIsolated showers near the coast and over Gippsland clearing. Fine elsewhere. A mild day with generally light to moderate south to southwesterly winds.Saturday 14 JanuaryIsolated showers in the south and far east contracting to the east during the afternoon. Mild and partly cloudy in the south. Warm and mainly sunny in the north. Moderate to fresh southerly winds.Sunday 15 JanuaryPartly cloudy in the east with isolated showers.
