MELBOURNE - Dec 30/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system near Tasmania is moving northeast and extending a strengthening ridge along the New South Wales coast. A southerly change is expected to enter the southwest of the state Tuesday night before moving through the state on Wednesday as the high moves away towards New Zealand. Forecast for the rest of FridayThe chance of showers about the coast and the chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms in the far northeastern inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeasterly winds, turning easterly in the west.Saturday 31 DecemberThe chance of coastal showers. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
