MELBOURNE - Dec 28/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1024 hPa south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Friday. The high will then remain near stationary and a trough of low pressure will move into the far west of South Australia late Sunday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine. Light to moderate south to southeast winds and fresh coastal sea breezes.Thursday 29 DecemberFine and mostly sunny. Mild to warm in the south, grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate southeast to northeast winds and fresh coastal sea breezes.Friday 30 DecemberFine and mostly sunny. Hot to very hot. Moderate east to northeasterly winds turning northerly and freshening in the west.Saturday 31 DecemberDry and hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northeast to northerly winds.Sunday 1 January Dry and hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a milder moderate to fresh southerly change expected near the western border in the evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon to midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 1 mm. Monday until WednesdayThe change will move east across the State reaching the Northeast Pastoral district early Tuesday.
