MELBOURNE - Dec 27/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1021 hPa south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Friday. The high will then remain near stationary and a trough of low pressure will move into the far west of South Australia on Sunday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayPossible early fog and the chance of a morning shower about the Lower South East, otherwise fine. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Moderate southeast winds and fresh coastal sea breezes.Thursday 29 DecemberFine and mostly sunny. Mild to warm in the south, grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate southeast to northeast winds and fresh coastal sea breezes.Friday 30 DecemberFine and mostly sunny. Hot to very hot. Moderate easterly winds turning northerly and freshening in the west.Saturday 31 December Dry and hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning to midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 1 mm. Sunday until TuesdayDry and hot to very hot conditions with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a milder moderate to fresh southerly change expected near the western border on Sunday. The change will move east across the State reaching the Northeast Pastoral district early Tuesday.
