Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 27/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of Western Australia extends a ridge over South Australia. The high will move eastwards over the next few days to be centred near Tasmania late Thursday, and over the Tasman Sea late Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine. Partly cloudy in the south, clear over the remainder. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Wednesday 28 DecemberPossible early fog and the chance of a morning shower about the Lower South East, otherwise fine. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Moderate southeast winds and fresh coastal sea breezes.Thursday 29 DecemberFine and mostly sunny. Mild to warm in the south, grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate southeast to northeast winds and fresh coastal sea breezes.Friday 30 DecemberFine and mostly sunny. Hot to very hot. Moderate easterly winds turning northerly and freshening in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning through to midnight Friday are expected to be generally less than 1 mm.Saturday 31 DecemberDry and hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon through to midnight Friday are expected to be generally less than 1 mm.Sunday until TuesdayDry and hot to very hot conditions with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a milder moderate to fresh southerly change expected near the western border on Sunday. The change will move east across the state reaching the Northeast Pastoral districtt early Tuesday. Isolated showers are forecast to develop with and following the trough.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
