Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Dec 21/11 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak high over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the south of the State. A trough of low pressure over the west of the State will gradually weaken. Another trough is expected to move to western and southern coasts on Saturday before extending inland during Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine and mostly sunny apart from possible isolated showers clearing from the far north early morning. Warm to hot with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds and afternoon sea breezes.Friday 23 DecemberFine and mostly sunny. Hot to very hot with mainly moderate northeast to southeast winds.Saturday 24 DecemberFine and mostly sunny in the north. Cloud increasing in the south with possible isolated showers developing about southern coasts towards midnight. Hot to very hot with moderate northeast to northerly winds shifting southerly with the sea breezes.Sunday 25 December
Isolated showers extending over the agricultural area and southern pastoral districts Hot to very hot inland with light to moderate northerly winds. Becoming milder in the south as a southwesterly wind change moves over agricultural areas during the day.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm, mostly occurring on Sunday.
Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers moving northwards and clearing from northern pastoral areas late in the period. Isolated showers persisting about southern coasts. Conditions becoming milder throughout the State as the southwesterly wind change moves into the Pastoral districts early in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
