Weather Situation A high pressure system to the west of Tasmania will drift south of Tasmania on Wednesday to join with a large slow moving high over New Zealand on Thursday. A weak trough of low pressure will linger inland towards the end of the week. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers or drizzle redeveloping over Gippsland this afternoon and evening. Partly cloudy in the south, clear in the north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, locally fresh near the coast.Wednesday 21 DecemberIsolated showers or drizzle over Gippsland, clearing later. Isolated afternoon showers in the northeast. Fine and partly cloudy for the remainder. A mild to warm day with light to moderate southeasterly wind, fresh about the coast.Fire Danger - Low to moderate, locally high in the west.Thursday 22 DecemberIsolated showers and possible thunderstorms over the eastern ranges, mainly in the afternoon. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Mild in Gippsland and along the coastal fringe but warm over the remainder.
